From the President

It is my pleasure to welcome you to Northwest Association Arts’ 2016-2017 season.

This year will see some exciting changes for our choral family. By moving to single matinee performances in the Highline Performing Arts Center, each chorus will continue to experience full scale, live theater shows and will also have the chance to perform in other venues.

NWAA continues to evolve in ways that deliver the best choral education opportunities for its members. For more than 30 years we have provided artistic development and performance experience for singers of all ages from Burien and South King County.

Guided by the talent and vision of our four Artistic Directors, our singers share in a passion for music, experience the fun and pride of honing musical skills, and revel in the true camaraderie and spirit of being a part of our musical family.

NWAA flourishes not only due to the passion of its singing membership, but also because of the loyal support of donors who believe in our mission. We are grateful for the generosity of the City of Burien, 4Culture and the Tagney-Jones Foundation for providing us with critical ongoing annual support. We are equally indebted to local businesses, families and individual donors whose contributions allow us to continue to thrive.

As you learn more about NWAA, I hope you are moved to see one of our shows, to offer financial support, or to sing in one of our ensembles.

Join us to experience the joy of choral music!

Tina Smith
