Northwest Associated Arts – From the President

From the President

Welcome to Northwest Associated Arts’ 2017-2018 season!

I am honored to return to the President’s role for this season as we have a full and exciting year for our organizations. This year we will bring back our Northwest Associated Arts combined Christmas concert, ChristmasSOUNDS in Burien. It is the perfect way to kick off your celebration of the season with almost 200 singers on the stage from third grade to retirement age. It is definitely the event not to miss this year.

Every year, NWAA continues to seek out the right opportunities for each of our singers. First and foremost, we pride ourselves on providing excellent choral education opportunities for all ages. We also work to create a culture where all are welcome and find a choral home and family. These experiences not only significantly shape our young singers’ lives, but continue to enrich each singer through a lifetime. We are fortunate to have four talented Artistic Directors who fearlessly lead our choirs and create the environment where our singers learn, grow, and share in their love of music and singing.

It has been a privilege to serve Burien and South King County for over 30 years in large part due to the passion of our singing membership and the community of donors who support us. We are grateful for the generosity of the City of Burien, 4Culture and the Tagney-Jones Foundation for providing critical ongoing annual support. Local businesses, families, and individual donors who graciously give because they believe in our work are the reason we continue to thrive.

Please learn more about NWAA and consider joining our larger family by attending one of our shows, offering financial support, or singing in one of our ensembles.

Thank you again to all who make this organization great and we hope to see you soon!
